UCare Intl. was founded in 2015 by two orphans and is a nonprofit, charitable organization in the Luzira area of Kampala, Uganda. UCare Intl., provides housing, food, clothing, medical care, and education to 80 children ages 3-17 years old. All of the children are orphans, primarily as a result of extreme poverty or the death of their parents. We find these children alone on the streets, or their parents plead with us to take them, as they cannot afford to feed or care for them. We provide the love, care, education, and social development they need, to ensure they can excel and become productive citizens of Uganda.

To provide abandoned children in Kampala, Uganda with a safe and loving home where they receive nutritious meals, healthcare, education, and life-skills training. Through compassionate care, love and opportunity, we empower each child to grow with dignity, develop their potential, and become a positive contributor to their community and country.

Vision Statement

Our vision is a future where no child seeking safety and care is turned away. We aim to expand our Tuli Wamu Children’s Center which provides long-term stability and and a true sense of home for every child we serve. Through initiatives such as agriculture, arts, and vocational skill development, we will create a self-sustaining community that nurtures resilient, capable young people prepared to build brighter futures for themselves and Uganda.

UCare International gave me an opportunity when I had no where to go. They took me in and have been taking care of my ever since. I am so happy to have a safe home and the ability to go to school. Since I arrived at UCare at age 7, I have never regretted it at all because of their parental love, care and support. I am so happy with my aunties and uncles here,and my fellow children.
